I normally post this in the Lounge, but I thought I'd try it out over here and see how it went over.
These ratings are 50% W-L, and 50% point differential. Team strength (W-L and differential) is 57%, opponents' strength is 29%, and opponents' opponents' strength is 14%.

best team in the ACC. But given the way we've struggled (needed all 4 quarters) with Auburn/GT/BC (4-14 combined record) it's hard to get to excited about 5-1 (tempered enthusiasm). WVU reminded us last weekend you can only go so far with a good offense and a bad defense. I think we match up well with VT and 6-1 sure beats the alt. but after we beat them, they'll be ?4-3. A bad team with a tall qb.

Looked it up. After a loss VT would be 4-4 (with a tall qb)***

Thats funny. How do you justify SCAR in the top ten when the only quality they have is Ga.

Point differential. They haven't just won...they've beaten teams soundly. They have the 4th-highest average point differential in FBS games.
And while they only have one win against teams in the Top 40 of the ratings, they also only have one win (UAB) against teams in the bottom 40.

That's a pretty big differential between where you put USuCk

and where you put LSU.
Seems to destroy any credibility that your "poll" has. At some point you have to do away with numbers and take into account the fact that the teams play head to head.

Also, the weighting on point differential is absurd. I'm not
