My New Alarm Clock

I though most birds had their young in the spring but those residing in my neighborhood must have changed the rules or decided to make this a two-crop year. My back yard is a wooded area and there must be a bird nest in every tree. Just before daybreak every one of those hatchlings start screaming for their parents to bring them a fresh worm for breakfast. The late afternoon feeding frenzy does not bother me because it does not occur during nap time.

My house is pretty well insulated with double windows but those hatchlings make so much noise they wake me up. I thought this would last about 4 - 6 days but it has now been going on for about 10 - 12 days. King Dixon, former AD at South Carolina said he was "sick and tired of being sick and tired" and I've about reached that stage with this unwanted alarm clock.

We have a couple of Boston Ferns hanging in our court yard. I had to keep cleaning them out because birds were attempting to build their nest in the ferns. In the process of building a nest in the ferns or at other locations, they have stripped a lot of leaves off the ferns for nesting material.

Was at my friends in Charleston 2 weeks ago and he had some baby birds and momma bird that made their home on his patio of his condo. Guess they are in the Fall too. I think these were Dove.

My cat's name is Tiger. I have no bird problem, or squirrel problem, or mole problem, or other cat problem. All I have to do is give him a little food and water once a day. And if I go out of town to a Clemson game, we finds food and water somewhere else. I love cats of all sizes.
Good problem to have.

Probably Carolina Wrens - suggest

Me too. And Joe is correct. Some animals are apparently mating out of season. And for some reason, crows are going nuts,

Actually, you're right...
