I continue to be astonished at his level of idiocy. I used to think he mostly just acted like an idiot. Now I realize it goes all the way to the bone.

People are reaching here. He wants it to be hot so his players are reasonably acclimated for two upcoming early afternoon kickoffs. Everything he says is abrasive and he sucks, but this is nothing other coaches aren't thinking.

We start our season with a noon and then a 3:30 game, he had better get them ready for it. We are not Maryland, we take care of our players. Hydration and nutrition are a huge part of the players strength and conditioning. Now is the time to find out who will be effected the most by the heat and who isn't. If certain players show lack of stamina in the heat now is the time to address it through hydration, nutrition, and rest. It also tells coaches that he needs less reps until he can adjust his body to the heat. It's good coaching in preparation for September games.
