Motivation beats talent...only if talent doesn't work hard

Nov 22, 2017, 10:00 AM

"Never again", "won't forget", etc... Yeah, that's great for them.
The atmosphere Saturday will be intense - an entire stadium full of screaming, drunk, puking Gamecock fans. The players will be hyped up and hungry for revenge. But emotion will only carry them so far, and not very if the more talented opponent shows up ready to play.

And we will be.

I prefer it this way. Hustle beats talent when talent don’t hustle.
