I went to the 81 National Championship. The ticket cost $20. If college athletics truly cared about the fans Clemson and Alabama would not be playing in California. Atlanta maybe. College athletics nowadays is like the NFL. The Super Bowl SHOULD be played at the home of the highest seeded team but they take that away from the true fans and it is a corporate social party. Same thing has happened with the college game. It "COULD " be arranged after the final 2 teams are known to schedule the game at a site suitable to the 2 fan bases involved. In this case Atlanta would be an obvious choice. Once again they don't care about the fans. It is all about the money and TV. So quit calling this stuff "amateur " athletics. It is a total joke designed to cater to those with more money than common sense !

They should just play the championship game every year in Dallas. Climate controlled, two airports, center of country. Easy travel from both coasts.

No the game is meant to be played in the elements. If that is in Michigan then so be it.
