mammoth shot like the Dunham hit. His helmet hit him at the right angle to pop his helmet off...no doubt you gotta get a good lick in to make that helmet come off but i'm sure that cat got hit harder than that in that game.
Whats more impressive was the quick step JC got to get in there that quick because the dude just got the ball when he was hit. But kudos for the ##### they basically won the game off that one play. Had that not happened then they would've lost b/c it took a close your eyes adn throw it up play by thompson, in which he underthrew the reciever to win the game.... that was a gift wrapped game if I ever saw one....

Of course he does! What else would he say? It's got to be pretty embarrassing to be on the receiving end of a hit seen and talked about by everyone In the country. Ask Boyd about Clowney. He took quite a few hits himself.

it sure looked like a great hit but which was worse, the clowney hit or the reid hit on latt i mo. the michigan player got up and ran off the field. latt i mo was out cold while the fsu defender was galloping down the sideline with the football.

the O/T is not who missed the assignment!! the guard went the wrong way!the O/T tried to cut Clowney off but he was not quick enough!!O/L often make those mistakes.. this one just happened @ the WORST POSSIBLE time.. there are 100 D/L playing college football that could have made that play and done it with a LEGAL TACKLE!! not a blow to the head

the fact is as clowney said himself was he was mad because the coaches had taken him out of the game for being ineffective against the michigan tackle.

I don't know? I thought the same thing, but Gil Brandt says Lewan was advised by NFL scouts to come back b/c he really didn't do that great of a job on JC. I guess that's why they make the big bucks. Like I say, I thought Lewan did a heckuva job on him all game long, except for maybe one or two plays?

It really isn't that impressive when you think about it, it's simple laws of physics. The Clown weighs 275 and Smith weighs 175, what the #### do you think is going to happen when they collide? I would have been more impressed had it have been a 250lb FB!!!! So #####...just chill it's not the hit of the century!!!!

The fact that he was able to have that big of an impact in such a short distance is what is very impressive. The hit was only played thousands of time on ESPN along with getting a whole segment on ESPN's NFL Sunday Countdown. Not to mention 8 million plus views on YouTube, but yeah, it's not that big of a hit.

F = ma, with "a" being acceleration, the fact that someone the size of Clowney was able to accelerate as quickly as he did in such a short distance is incredible despite what you or the rest of your dirt eating pack wants to believe.

a 270 lb guy came in un-impeded and recorded his fourth and final tackle of the game. Hit the guy as soon as he received handoff so he had no chance to juke or sidestep. Luck falls on players once in a while.
