SEC will go to a 10+1 model as well.

Jul 29, 2020, 5:27 PM

Looks like they don't have much choice. If I was the commissioner of AAC, or any other G% conference, I would be on the phone now explaining to the SEC commish how they would be more than willing to work with SEC so that SEC could play an 8+4 model with the AAC filling in all needed OOC games, even agreeing to play them all on the road. USC could still play Clemson; UK could still play UL, UGA and GT. So they would play 3 AAC teams while schools like Bama, Auburn, and TN could play 4 AAC teams.

Not gonna happen, though. I suspect SEC will go to a 10+1 schedule.

You don't think Florida will be FSU's +1?***

Yes. Florida would be another school with 3 AAC games in my above scenario. I just didn't go to every state and list them.

uof6c wants to part of that scenario...

The Dirtpeckers would be underdogs to at least half the teams in the AAC.

Glad the ACC acted before the SEC in announcing the schedules.

this will be the only time you will ever see that...

Jul 29, 2020, 8:48 PM

guess 2nd schedule of same year gave ole swoff a first.

So the coots may forfeit?

Jul 29, 2020, 8:33 PM [ in reply to Maybe not ]

We can extend our streak without even teeing it up.

And no, I’m not serious, but they would certainly be crying forfeit if the ACC had gone to a conference only model.

Do you think the coots would ditch us for Akron. The Citadel or Wofford May beat them.

I do think they should allow 2 out of conference games. 1 another Power 5 school and the other a D-II school they really depend on they one big pay day. The current rules may hurt beyond recovery small schools.

Sure hope not

Jul 29, 2020, 7:22 PM

Hard to believe that in the end, it would be the SEC of all people to kill the in-state rivalry games. Figured they'd go a plus 1 schedule that would allow an OOC game against an in-state school at least
