A lot of high schools don't allow early graduation. I'm not sure, but I think that this is the case here.

I don't believe there's anything to this other than him finishing his Senior year of high school.

If a recruit has signed an NLI and is not released from it, another NLI school cannot give him a scholarship until the one-year period of the contract is up. Schools release them now, though. Enrolling is what triggers the requirement for one-year waiting period.

I'm all for the kids who show up at summer school practices. Not all kids need or want to start early. I recall Herschel being the best player in the country and not starting early. Just not as important at RB position. Elliott can send him the playbook.

The story on Herschel was a Vince Dooley BS job...As i recall, Dooley bad mouthed Herschel as a youngster, needed some time to learn the plays, BS,BS and more BS... Then Jaw Jaw got behind in the first game against Tenn. as i recall and Dooley sent Hershel in and he ran the ball like he stole it all over Tenn. and the rest is history...

Does the NCAA still have that clearinghouse crap for incoming players? I wonder if he needs a class to improve his grades?
He has signed his NLI. I think with Bowman it’s probably something as simple as paperwork not in on time or who knows he may want to enjoy he last few months of HS. Best to him and Welcome to Clemson.

I’ve never quite understood how all these kids manage to finish early.
Has the threshold for graduating been lowered, or are today’s kids just that much smarter than we were?

I can't speak for other states, but in SC they have to have 24 units to graduate, but school's schedules allow for up to 32 classes in four years.

Good points and now units are often semester based. When I was in school, required units like math, English, etc. were year long. They can wrap them up in half the time now. If they don’t load up with electives, it shouldn’t be too hard.
