Matchup question

Sep 29, 2017, 12:22 PM

I haven't watched a single down VT has played this season but I know they have not played world beaters. Can someone give me a quick summary of why some on here are so worried about this game? Louisville was probably the best offense we will face in the reg season and Auburn probably had the best defense and front seven we will face.

Other than it being a home game for VT, where do we not have favorable matchups? Thanks!

I'm personally worried about our placekicking/field goal kicker. If our offense continues in a funk like it did for three quarters against BC, this game might come down to field goals. Spence hit three of four extra points last week and didn't even try a FG.

A real positive is that the last few road games (well, games away from Death Valley), we are really seemed focused and sharp (except maybe the ACC championship game in Orlando last year) and took care of business. I'm hopeful that same mindset/team shows up tomorrow and takes control of the game against a decent Hokies squad.

Go Tigers!

I'm worried about our fg kicker too. Between all the extra points and kickoffs he may get tired.??

Just a guess, but

Albarn was the best d clemson faced while luisville was the best offence and clemson was still in a 7 -7 tie with BC in the 4th qrt.

If bc could push clemson vt certainly can.

A couple turnovers, flu bug, and well placed pergolas and next thing you know clemson only wins by 21.

VT can push Clemson, but Clemson can bury VT.

Clemson needs not turn the ball over. If we do...uh oh.***
