Maryland leaves the ACC

which is perfectly fine with me. We replace them with Navy, which will also serve as a lure for Notre Dame to join full time. We'll be MUCH better off without Maryland if this is the way it goes. I don't think there's anyone (even Maryland fans probably) that wouldn't rather go to Annapolis than College Park.

coworker earlier this year, I thought it was a bad idea. I still don't think the would add much, but I have to say, I would rather play Navy, than UConn, USF, etc., just for the shear tradition and respect of opponent.

Louisville is not an enticement for Notre Dame

Navy is. They play every year and Notre Dame has been adamant about continuing their rivalries. Navy (despite not being very good) also has a national fan base, rather than Louisville which is very local or regional at best.

the ACC is a sinking ship. Look at the Computer rankings. If we were in another league, we wouldn't be sweating anything out.

There have been rumblings that Penn St wishes to leave the Big 10 to start over and turn a new leaf in their program and there has been talks with the ACC...got this info from the Clemson scout site.
