Showed that they take a little time do degrade. Like enough time for a turtle to eat them.

The study said that if animals were to eat any remains, that the fragments would be so small, it wouldn't hurt the animal.
Also, they degrade in the same amount of time it takes a leaf to break down.
Basically, this whole balloon thing is a farce. We should bring them back.

didn't intend to start watching that game, but also didn't remember they highlighted the Hill and the Rock so much on that broadcast. So I watched for a while and when they ran down the Hill, it made me remember what the balloons added. It was cool hearing Dabo's comments on the buses and the Hill. First time I'd seen an ACCN rebroadcast.

Does watching balloons go up for two minutes really make or break a Clemson football game? I go to games to watch football and my Tigers play and win. Did you miss them for the last 5 years in the ACCCG? How about last year in the Natty? In the Semi and Natty this year?
So how does releasing thousands of biodegradable balloons differ than throwing thousands of hamburger wrappers out of your car window? Hey it's paper too, it is "biodegradable" too.
Forget the turtles and wildlife. While you don't want to admit it, it's littering. They will come down eventually, in my yard, in our State Parks, in our ocean.
Littering is littering. The students got it right. You just want to get your jollies off for 2 minutes watching balloons.

I wish they would replace them with something else - maybe orange smoke/fog lining the hill as they run down. I understand the balloon argument but they did add a nice visual to the excitement of our entrance. Its not quite as exciting of an entrance with out them.
