Agreed. Every organization, at their own peril, has a mental model of what they think a quarterback should be, do, or look like.
I love how the game itself validates or condenms those mental models over time.

Because he looks the part. He’s got the measurables. Just like many other high qb picks before him. The guy didn’t have that great of college career imo.

How many Bear fans bottled their minds with Scotch thinking about how it could have possibly been the Bears in the SB if someone knew how to draft in Chicago?
The Bears wasted draft choices (3, 67, 111 in 2017 + a 4th rounder in 2018 to the 49ers and the 49ers took a DL) with the trade up to get Trubisky. Trubisky would have been available at 3 because no one else wanted him that high. I think the 49ers snookered the Bears into believing they wanted a QB.
