I work at Graystone Eye in Hickory NC. Just north of Gastonia. Great place to work and have this sx. Very strong company and reputation.

I have to agree. I won a contest for free LASIK surgery

from Graystone and Dr. Oursler. Everyone I have talked to has had nothing but good things to say. I referred a friend who just had the same procedure about two weeks ago. I would definately give them a look if your Charlotte/Rock Hill area doctors are too pricey or backed up. I'm sure it would be worth an extra 30-45 minute drive. Good luck.

Dr. Galentine did Lasik surgery for my wife and I go to him yearly for family history of glaucoma. He's excellent!

you might consider going to the duke medical center for a consultation or even asking them for a referral.another possible would be the medical society in the area in which you wish to be treated.also a good idea to make sure that the physician treating you is board certified.as always,a second opinion is a plus.regardless, take time in making a choice.your eyes are too valuable.one more thought:if you are going to have the surgery in a teaching hospital, make sure that students aren't the ones doing the procedure.hope this helps.
