If this isn't the prettiest swing, look at the hips and the eyes. Just pure POWER. Man I love Beer.

You can tell just from the picture that's a lot of torque. The arm extension is beautiful. Text book back leg L and hitting off a stiff front side.

I think he's got the mindset that will enable him to be a better pro than Greene. Very early yet, but Beer has the makings of a complete player.

and as a youth softball coach, I want to enlarge that picture and show my players how his head is down.

I can't tell them enough to keep their heads down--well after the bat has gone through the hitting zone...

most impressive thing he did today was the throw

to nail the guy at home. Been wondering about his arm, as he hasn't had very accurate throws towards baserunners yet. But he threw a strike to Okey and the runner didn't even bother to slide. Kept the score 2-0. That one got our attention in the stands.
