the most praise from the coaches this spring, especially regarding leadership abilities, were Feaster and Smith. Have to wonder if the writing was on the wall regarding their role(s) and they thought by complimenting them and alluding to their leadership, they might be persuaded to stay.

My thoughts as well. I also wonder if that's the coaches way of taking the high road by saying good things to keep from tarnishing our image and to help the kids if other coaches are watching.

You know it is . Class and respect are part of the coaching staff's repertoire and regimen .
These kids mean a lot to them , particularly the guys who have been on the team for a few years .
