Not sure who the Vice President was at the time unless I google it, for I was too young at the time to know politics but I do remember that you could buy candy cigarettes with a fake red tip in convenience stores.

I was 17 yrs old, trying to get one of my teammates to switch #3 so I could be like Homer Jordan. Raycom sports, Jefferson Pilot was on my TV on Saturday. And I had to turn the antenna outside to get better reception

I was selling tater chips to grocery stores and still celebrating the birth of my first child at that time. I am now wrapping up a 39 year career in the nuclear industry and have three grandkids the youngest of which is a slugger on his baseball team.
