Is he not improving enough to help in the secondary? I thought he had promise out of high school and with a redshirt year under his belt he would be more of a role with the big three corners.

doesn't your the final part of your second sentence give the reason? "the big three corners" these guys are studs and we shouldn't hear about anyone else this spring if they play adequately

Is talked about “lack of depth” always comes up, then talk of the 2 new freshman coming in. Is Williams not even good enough to provide depth? I think they CBs are having to go against the ones and the 2s more than normal, but I agree they haven’t even spoken williams name in any articles.

I believe Venables mentioned him in a recent interview and said he has the talent but just needs to be more consistent

so we lose 2 solid players in Carter and Smith, return Fields, and all of a sudden we have major depth concerns? Van Smith will be a tough one to replace, but we are fine at Corner with Mullen, Fields and AJ Terrell. all 3 would start for most teams in the conference. Behind them is a bit of a mystery, but we have a ton of tall fast bodies that we can build depth off of. Kyler McMichael will likely avoid a redshirt, he is already built like a grown man.

Guess you missed the game last year where we had to play a developmental player at corner who immediately got torched then we played a WR at corner who looked lost. We were shorted handed last year and it’s no better this year. Hoping we have no injuries at corner or safety

No every DB comes in ready to go and even a redshirt yr doesn't mean he's gonna be a RS freshman stud. The kid was a bit raw out of high school but he's gonna be a player before long. He needs real game reps to help with his development.
