Last time Clemson lost to a team listed outside the top 10 AP final rankings?

2011, the year we were crowned ACC champions.

Surprised I've never seen this mentioned.

Thoughts:

1. Clemson's not losing games to your Tennesse's, your Baylors, UCLAs, Ole Miss', Mizzou's, Arizona's and Va Techs of the world - like other recently hyped teams/national champions and playoff teams. We've quietly become a team ready to burst onto the scene in grand fashion and "shock the world" who has no idea about us. Love it.

2. Very grateful for the margin of defeat in the WVU bowl game looking back now. Venables is a machine.

Unfortunately the coots could only muster up a refurbished broken machine in hoke or whatever his name is. And they had an even larger margin of loss to auburn with that 56-17 schlopping. Smh
