Bama finally plays a top 20 team on Saturday, but

Nov 2, 2017, 6:23 AM

It's a team who lost to Troy.

But, its at LSU. At night.

any chance lsu pulls the upset?

You never know with LSU at night.

Nov 2, 2017, 6:25 AM

I always assume they are better at night. Is there fact to that assumption?

Yes.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Don't know if they'll pull the upset but

Nov 2, 2017, 6:33 AM

LSU will definitely give them a game. Bama has played nothing but cupcakes. When they actually play even a decent team like A&M they look very average. I think this is by far the worst team Bama has fielded in the last 10 years. They may end up dropping 2 games. I think they lose to Auburn for sure and they'll probably drop 1 between this game and the Mississippi State game.

Dawgs get em in the SECCG***

They could definitely lose. Would not surprise me at all

The last 4 or 5 night games iv watched on tv at LSU

are quiet and have no energy. My buddy from high school is a qb there and he said their home field advantage isn't even an advantage anymore..

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The game is being played in Tuscaloosa...

Nov 2, 2017, 6:53 AM

As much as I want Alabama to lose, I just don't see LSU whipping them - especially in Alabama.

Alabama has played 2 true away games so far this year. 2. How can we get that type of schedule?

Only if Troy Landry

bring some of his alligators with him.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LSU hired a new coach.

Nov 2, 2017, 7:21 AM

They didn't like the grind on the ground scheme which Les ran so they made a change. Losing so many early season games they should have won is the symptom, it's not the problem. The problem is that LSU is going through some severe growing pains.

Somebody will underestimate LSU but not Saban. He seems to have an antidote for rat poison. Maybe next year.

LSU lost to the 3rd best team in Alabama ...so they will not have any chance of toppling the current #1 team in Alabama ... or so goes the logic .

big games. It's maintaining it over a season where his schtick struggles.

But against Alabama on a Saturday night in the Deaf Valley? I would not be surprised.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well darn , just read the rest of the thread

Nov 2, 2017, 8:00 AM

Nevermind about that Deaf Valley stuff.

Bama is favored by three touch downs. They’ll win this game.

LSU = not good. Bama = Good

Nov 2, 2017, 8:37 AM

Bama rolls.

Re: LSU = not good. Bama = Good

Nov 2, 2017, 8:53 AM

It'll be interesting to see if LSU can bring the pressure and if Hurts can handle it in the pocket. To me, that's Alabama's biggest question mark.

Still, I think Bama wins. Not by much, though.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think Hurts is the real deal now.

Nov 2, 2017, 8:56 AM

He has really matured and I think can handle whatever comes at him. I think Bama's D is worse than in the past though. You can run on them now more than in the past.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Hurts is actually behind on his pace from last year

Nov 2, 2017, 9:16 AM

Hes still around 62% completion percentage. TDs are down. Yards are down, but INTs are also way down.

THey are just making sure that he's not in a 3rd and long situation. Remember the NC game, whenever we stuffed them on 1st down, you migth as well assume punt. He couldn't play behind the chains.

Re: Bama finally plays a top 20 team on Saturday, but

Nov 2, 2017, 9:21 AM

Going back about 15 years this game is almost always decided by about 9-10 points or less, so even when one team is up and the other is down they still keep it close and somewhat competitive on the scoreboard. I think Alabama is definitely the better team but LSU could be the one non-spread team that has been able to compete with them throughout the saban years.

Re: Bama finally plays a top 20 team on Saturday, but

Nov 2, 2017, 9:27 AM

LSU is not a good football team. Bama will beat them easily and still not have played anyone.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LOL...LSU a top 20 team...lol

Nov 2, 2017, 9:35 AM

Although beating Auburn was a good win for them.
