KB has made himself the ex-son-in-law of the Clemson family

Not a good place to be. Not that people hate him, though some might, but it would just be awkward. He rejected Clemson - which was his right - but that severs a lot of ties and forfeits a lot of privileges. Too bad.

He didn’t do a lot of things right, but he did not reject us. He is a Clemson grad, same as me. That is supposed to be the mission of student athletes. More of abandoning teammates.

He is a Clemson Grad and that is the most important thing.
Folks might not like his decision, like how he did things but at the end of the day he is still family and will always be family.

Agree. FACTS: He was a major contributor to a very good team. He had a chance to keep competing, but realized he did not want to compete. His teammates have the exact same situation as he at every position. He is a Clemson graduate. He is my Clemson family. He quit on his teammates and left them in a bad situation. We will all appreciate his past, think he made a poor choice in the present, and wish him well in the future. Regardless all of Clemson can only move on move forward from his decision.

even worse, in my book. Why do you feel the need, on your way out, to cause bad feelings at the school that nurtured you through 4 years all the way to a College Degree? He could have left in a hundred other ways that would not have alienated people while doing it.

Won a lot of games for Clemson, is a Clemson grad, and is a national champion. None of those things can be taken away from him. He wanted to be able to show his skills and be “the guy” in his last year of eligibility.
I wish he had handled it better, but he is a 22 year old kid who just lost his job which I’m sure is something that defined a lot of who he is. I understand being upset. I don’t harbor ill will and I wish him all the best.
