KB ankle will not be 100% again this season

I do not believe KB's ankle had the opportunity to heal right because of the Syracuse game and now will be unstable and in pain for the rest of season. I believe KB was telling the Coaches and Trainers his ankle was fine and so they gave in and hoped this would signal to the team they were taking this game seriously, get a few touchdowns and get him out before too much damage was done.
WebMD "Proper treatment and rehabilitation (rehab) exercises are very important for ankle sprains. If an ankle sprain does not heal right, the joint may become unstable and may develop chronic pain. This can make your ankle weak and more likely to be reinjured. No everyone plays hurt - I'm just saying we had an opportunity for KB to heal his ankle, we missed it and now it will continue to linger. I trust the coaches understood the risks and made the be best decision. No regrets but hindsight.

Don't use webmd to try and diagnose something. It's only good for looking at after you've had a diagnosis. However I do believe his ankle won't be at a full 100% for a while. With that being said I think he can be productive at 90%. If he can move well enough at 90%, he's our best bet imo.

Well I have never played football on a sprained ankle but I have played lots of basketball. The difference is is no one is going to tackle you purposely on your 85% ankle. We saw the cuse players tackling (sometimes borderline late) KB on that bad foot. Not calling them dirty... but teams are going to go after your weakness. Even if he gets to 90-95%, you dont think one hard hit on it wont send him right back to 50%?
I love our training and strength staff.. they stuff they have done getting people back to playing shape is awesome.. and injury like this though on a guy who will be standing there and people hitting him... will be tough to get completely over until he has a break longer than 2 weeks. (after ACCCG)
I am not a coach and wont be mad or angry if KB starts this week.. I trust the coaches, they have way more to lose with KB going out or playing bad than we do... but I hope they will prepare ZCoop or HJ this week and let KB get another week to heal before NCst.

You guys do realize thst NCSU will go after his ankle every chance they get. It is just how dirty they play. Want leave out GT doing the same. Nothng will surprise me with those coaches.

If that fails, then taking KB's 'Cuse concussion into account, Doeren is probably discussing with Chubb how to "knock their QB out of the game" with some targeting. It shouldn't take as much this time as with Gallman last year.

It may not get back to 100% until after the season, sprains are such a pain in the ###. I had a serious sprain last year and even just running on it and landing awkwardly could cause some pain and a feeling like it's about to give out beneath you, and I was just running on flat ground, not cutting and trying to avoid 275 lb dudes.
But, if it is taped up during games and practices and taken care of during the weekly treatment there's no reason why an "80-85"%" ankle isn't enough for him to run on and still be effective. If he can take the pain and the doctors aren't afraid of him hurting it any more than it is, he should and will go.

A sprained ankle at his age usually doesn't take that long to heal. He should be 95-100% in a couple of weeks from the injury. Of course I did not examine him myself and neither did you. Web MD is probably basing most of their info off of what it takes for a middle aged to older person to heal.
