Just not buying the hype on Quinnen Williams. There is a

mock draft on CBSSports, and here is the comment:
3. New York Jets Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama. Bigger needs for New York? Sure. But Williams is too talented to pass up here. He has good burst off the ball, outstanding hand work to beat offensive linemen with a variety of moves, and plays with a low center of gravity and a non-stop motor.
I didn't see a non-stop motor nor a variety of moves in their Clemson game. He stuffed a couple of run plays, but didn't see any pressure from him on Trevor. Can't help but think that any of the 5 DLs we have in the draft are better picks than this dude.

He's fat and overrated. Didn't have a single sack against us in the NC game. Of course, he dominated our offensive line, which was a big factor in Alabama's victory. No wait. You say Bama lost 44 to 16?? How could this have happened with the great Mr. Williams in the game?? Did they get the scores reversed? Chuckle.

Because of the fatigue, the pressure of playing for Alabama, he was unable to play his best. Poor guy. Alabama should build each of their players a slide to help them out of bed each morning.

Based on his comments after the game, I would say he is mentally challenged.......didn’t even realize he just got curve stomped and carried to the wood shed......very smart guy (not)........Go Tigers!!!!!!!

IMO. this is what the "draft analysts" usually can't seem to figure out.
There's a lot more that makes a great player than their physical attributes. The attitude and mind of a player is 80% of what makes them great or not.

I think he's good, I don't like his attitude but he is the real deal. He had 71 tackles 19.5 for a loss and 8 sacks that's no pushover. I don't think he's #3 overall worthy but he is definitely a good interior player.

There is going to be plenty of mental fatigue headed his way, if you equate mental fatigue with taking "L"s.

for carrying more weight than he should and his lack of conditioning, then maybe.
Dude makes a play, showboats and then walks slowly to the sideline exhausted to get some oxygen. Booger McFarland was laughing at him. I was too.

If you’d watched their games all year, you’d know that the guy can flat out play, he’s as good as advertised. Granted didn’t have a big game in the NC but he did make some plays.

First round. Hes more of a finesse player though. I'd still rather have Dex. He's incredibly strong at the point of attack. I have a feeling he'll have a long pro career.

the next level. That's why he's going to get drafted higher than Dex. NFL front offices hardly care about the "point of attack" any longer because everyone is throwing the football.

Idk what I saw was a guy who's good for a quarter of spirited football and then he fades. I see a guy who got beat be more athletic OL. UGA hammered him most of the game and I was shocked that Pollard beat him whenever he lined up on him and no not with help from the center, that raised red flags on this guy for me. Pollard is not elite. Q.Williams is a nasty first step and not much more after that.

The kid is dang good but I doubt any team takes a DT early unless it is a huge need. The depth at DT in the draft this year is crazy. He will be a first rounder tho no doubt.

He is a really good player and will have a good nfl career.

He's a good player until he runs up against as good talent like Clemson. Sort of like Bama tackle Jonah Williams until he manned up against Cle Ferrell. Cle tossed him around like a doll.
Yeah, no doubt Alabama is good...until they run into better!

I feel the same way about Gary, Oliver, Bosa, and Debo. All the “talent” but to me there are red flags to go around. I like to see drive, passion, teamwork, no quite mentality but that’s just me. I wouldn’t want any of those guys on my team but I’m just a fan.
