if effective.
We spend lots of man hours and PPE on negative patients. I dont know this, but I believe that less people were getting tested with the previous test that had a 3-4 day turn around.
This could bust up the overwhelming impact on hospitals and PPE use. More people tested, earlier treatment, and hopefully less need for hospital nights. I'm so hopeful this changes everything.

I wonder how long it would take to get this new test available nationwide in large quantities?
And if it can be available soon, could mass testing lead to a different COVID-19 strategy that didn't lock down so many people and paralyze the economy to the extent that we are seeing now?

Safer for health care providers, reduce consumption of PPE, and data data data.

It’s analogous to the change in procedure when PCR became available as a screen for MRSA. Rapid detection saved TONS of expensive isolation time
