Just for the record KB couldn't hold Boyd, Lawrence or DW4's Jock Strap.......

Heck he couldn't hold Chase Brice's Jock Strap or Hunter Johnson's for that matter. He's fortunate to have ever started a down in Tigertown & he needed Clemson a lot more than Clemson needed him. I'm sick of hearing about the A&M game & how he was 16-2 as a Starter when anyone with half of a Brain knows Clemson's Defense just overwhelmed most all of it's opponents during his time here. Besides a hand full of times, Bryant couldn't throw an accurate pass over 3 or 4 yards. He never looked comfortable behind center and was playing an unnatural position. He's a Selfish little Crybaby that Whinned and Pouted and Quit on his team! Just look at his sideline facial expressions during the 18' spring game when he stunk it up for about 30 yards while the other 3 QB's were slinging the Rock all over the Field and his comments when he quit the team! He was never a TEAM Player & he most certainly doesn't deserve a National Championship Ring!!! This should be a non issue and anyone who thinks otherwise either has a Chemical imbalance and should seek Medical Attention ASAP or is a SEC Homer (Finebaum Disciple) or a COOT and is just trying to stir up trouble!

He doesn't deserve anything more than a class graduation Ring from Clemson...... Good Riddance KB

Did KB #### in your cornflakes? He played admirably for Clemson for a number of years. Left to try to pursue a better opportunity.

No point to talk junk about him (especially if you’re all butthurt about the ring that even KB didn’t request).

Have some integrity dude.

"He played admirably for Clemson for a number of years."???

He threw a hissy fit and embarrassed everyone watching when he left, thought he deserved to play over Lawrence because he had paid his dues? Said he felt like he'd been slapped in the face? And thats admirably?

Up

His hissy fit was far less than yours***

And nowhere did I say he should get a ring

I don’t care if he did or didn’t get a ring. Whole bunch of nonstory.

Finebaum and other press folks exist because of thin skin whiners like you.

He already has a NC ring and a bunch of ACC champs rings***

I think what he’s saying is that he’s not a good QB. Record has nothing to do with how he performs as a QB. He did benefit from having elite weapons around him and a great defense to back him up. And to be honest. Our receivers as a whole STILL had their worst statistical seasons with him being the starter

Exactly sure the record was great but that had little to do with Bryant. I mean any QB on the roster could have matched or most likely exceeded Kelly's performance during those 18 games. He was 1 dimensional and a good Defense shut him down. Alabama in the playoffs and Clemson in the Spring Game both exposed him. And then he ignored and Dabo and Whinned about not having a fair shake. I had no problem with him leaving to better himself. Infact I was elated for him and Clemson that he left. Best thing that could have happened to everyone involved. But in no way does he deserve a nc Ring from last year

So the offensive success Clemson exhibited during KB's starts had little to do with our quarterback ?

Tigerdug please enlighten me about this offensive success Clemson experienced during the 2017 season. Especially the non-rushing stats. I know it was far and away the lowest output since atleast 2010 (the only losing season since 98') I bet its just Oklahoma like!

I won't argue that we didn't have better offenses before and after , as you mentioned ... but being that KB was our starter for all of 2017 and 4 games into the 2018 season it is respectively without error to say that he helped Clemson win 16 games as our QB , an ACC Championship and he did so as the QB which as we all will agree is the most important position to the sport .
I don't think KB should get a ring and I agree with Dabo Swinney 100% on that point ... but to denigrate the kid after he's left to play elsewhere seems a little much to me .
You're of course welcome to your opinion as I am to mine .

It’s a fact that KB couldn’t compare to DW or TL. The original poster just shows a bunch of vitriol and butthurt complaining.

KB, a mediocre QB, was very lucky to have an outstanding team surrounding him at Clemson. One can only hope that he loses his first 2 or 3 games at "Mizzou" so that the fawning adulation of him by his apologists on this site can mercifully end. He has absolutely nothing to do with Clemson football, and has no scintilla of a right to a championship ring. Sick of hearing his name.

Kelly Bryant had the option to remain on the team, but still redshirt to maintain his final year eligibility. He chose to quit the team instead. He could have just remained on the team and help the team prepare for future games without playing in the game. Point being, he did not have to completely quit the team to transfer the next year...only playing would burn his redshirt. Doing it that way would have left him as a valid backup if a career ending injury had occurred. If Kelly had been told he must play to remain on the team, it would be different. Truth is he had the option to stay on the team, yet not play in anymore games, choosing to quit instead was his choice. If they give him a ring, what would be the added reward for a player who chose to remain on the roster, and not play.

For the record, my post is not a knock on Kelly Bryant, but decisions have consequences. He made the decision to quit...period. Even if it was the best decision for the team as well as himself, which I think it was, the decision was made by him. I, for one, was glad he made that decision. He would have been a constant distraction otherwise, and likely caused friction between those on the team who thought he should be starting. IMO, if he had stayed we would not have won the Natty.

This ring debate is ludicrous!!

He doesn't deserve crap for the 2018 season. I'm not a KB hater, wish he wouldn't have made some comments but I enjoyed him as a person and 2nd string QB. He was below average passer but way above average runner! He cost our RB's running opportunities and he cost our WRs the opportunities.

Look, our rushing yds and TDs went up substantially after he left because our passing threat improved substantially. Our passing "point of catch" improved substantially and we didn't have to rely on YAC. Our passing yards didn't go up substantially in relation to rushing due to the fact that we were able to open the rushing attack with the passing threat and because KB wasn't pulling the ball on passing plays.

FWIW: I watched KB for the first time in the Shrine Bowl in Spartanburg. When they announced that KB was going to be a QB at CLEMSON, I hung my head. KB was pathetic as a QB, and looked lost during his entire performance. I then had a wait-and-see attitude to see if he ever truly became a real QB like I would classify as a real QB. I never saw it - PERIOD. When I re-watch past games, I call him a drive-killer as he ended so many drives attempting to get the first down on his own. With all the talent surrounding him, he seemed to think HE was the key to making a first down or TD. He was NOT the key. He continues to be a ONE-DIMENSIONAL QB whether some believe otherwise or not. My opinion will never change unless he finally can step up his game.

That being said - I think he made a good decision in leaving, and I certainly wish him all the luck in the world to be successful. I have no hard feelings against the guy, and will watch some of his games in hopes of seeing his improvement.

Hope you wouldn't hold their jock strap either (that's a nasty obsession). You were not in KB''s shoes. When people get shot down they hurt. They react. Should he have rolled over and played dead? Give a man room to deal with the low blows of life, cause you might be the next one in line. I do hope you can handle the low blows of life without having to hold people's jockey strap. You need to go wash your hands!
