color commentator for the FSU-Virginia game at the ACC Baseball tournament,now there is a past Clemson Baseball commitment back in the day that would have been nice to see play for the Tigers

Saw him a couple of times when he was with the Royals. On both occasions he was the only player from either team (White Sox and Braves) who spent any time signing autographs before the game. He seemed to truly be taking in how great the big league experience was. Too bad more big leaguers don't seem to enjoy the interaction with fans like he did.

He was in Clemson a few years ago when we Ga Tech on a Thursday night game. He was very appreciative of the clemson offer and is still a fan. He was in Judge Keller’s buying some Clemson gear. I recognized him and struck up a conversation. We spoke for about 15 minutes, he was a very nice guy. He said he was also recruited by George O’Leary of Tech. He said all it took was one phone call with that guy and he knew he didn’t want to go the Tech.
