Jake Higginbotham

I was at the Danville Braves - Pulaski Yankees game last night. The Braves pitching coach saw my Clemson hat and asked if I was a Clemson fan. I told him I'm a graduate so he asked if I know Jake Higginbotham. When I said I watched every game he pitched this year on TV, he handed Jake a ball and a pen and told him to sign a ball and give it to me.
I was surprised because I don't chase balls or autographs. I leave that to the kids. I thought it was a very nice gesture.

That was a nice gesture. Did you get to see him pitch any. Just wondering how he was doing- someone on here was kind enough to post a link about mlb and could type in a players stat. But I got to keep looking for it. I looked at it for beer and a few others and it was neat.

He pitched 3 innings Sunday and had 5 strike outs and gave up 2 hits. One was a single and the runner was thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double. The other was a solo homer. He wasn't in on the decision. I think he's 2 - 0 after 10 or 11 games with and ERA around 1.00.

I got to talk to Chris Williams last week for about 5 minutes when the Twins were here. He has 14 homers and over 40 rbi's. He's hitting about .250.
