flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

you can say that about every sport.

Dec 5, 2015, 10:03 AM

I've always found soccer to be pretty intense to watch live. That is if you understand the rules. Non soccer people don't always no all the rules. Much like me not ever wanting to watch rugby.

Soccer professional athletes would make great safeties and linebackers/running backs in football.

Football is a great opportunity for bigger people i.e. Offensive & defensive linemen.

And soccer players make more money in Europe than our nfl players.

It's a bit more interesting to watch if you understand and appreciate the game. At least it doesn't take 4 hours and 20 commercial breaks to see 30 min of action!

Yawn. Soccer is lame.***

I'm sure you're a huge fan of that sport and glued to the TV for those 10-hour matches also?

Dec 5, 2015, 9:35 AM

If you're a sports fan, not just a single sport fan, then I highly recommend watching a high level cricket match. I watched India vs Sri Lanka a while back. I had no clue the rules or the players but my eyes were locked on and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I don't regularly tune in to most sports not football or Clemson related but real sports fans can appreciate any contest when played at a high level.

If you can't, that's ok but when your opinion disagrees with a large and passionate group don't be surprised when they lash back at you. You have the right to your opinion and I have the right to think you're a closed minded fool, at least until you prove me wrong.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I've watched cricket before

Dec 5, 2015, 9:51 AM

it's more interesting than watching soccer for sure. The matches just last way too long.

I was firing off at the tired old argument from the "soccer is the most popular sport in the world and you are wrong, plus you're a xenophobe if you don't love it" crowd. If they subscribe to that, then they should be compelled to enjoy cricket just as much.
