I've seen a few questioning our RBs

Sep 18, 2017, 10:30 AM

particularly Choice and Fuller

with our running back committee approach I think each one is playing pretty darn good. Plus the same way our WRs staying fresh and abuse opposing teams DBs late in games, I think our RBs will do the same to Dlines and LBs

Fuller 94 yards and 4.5 ypc and 2 TD
Choice 84 yards and 5.6 ypc and 2 TD
Feaster 176 yards and 9.3 ypc!!!! and 1 TD
Etienne 179 yards and 12.8 ypc!!!!! and 2 TD

Choice is actually running more effective that Gallman did last season w/ his YPC
and Fuller is just slightly below Gallmans YPC

I'm not questioning our RBs, but i think Feaster has

Sep 18, 2017, 10:36 AM

absolutely earned more carries. He should be the feature back soon.

Feaster has been getting more carries

Sep 18, 2017, 10:39 AM

He and CJ got the most reps against Louisville.

I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.

He also earned a sack. That needs to be corrected.***

The good outweighs the bad atm. And the best way for him

to learn is to get out there and do it.

Anyone questioning our RBs please raise your hand.

Now move to the idiot coot line.

Thank you.

I kind of like this 4 deep at RB situation rather than one..

Sep 18, 2017, 10:58 AM

feature back like Gallman. All 4 have been doing really well. Choice is barely being talked about and he's looking solid. Fuller seems to be built for 15 to 20+ touches (runs or passes), give Feaster another 20ish, Choice around 10 and Etienne around 10 (use him as the dagger late in games). Keeps them all pretty fresh and Ds worn down. This is a great problem to have.

I do as well, how many people have thought that maybe Feaster and ETN have such good YPC is because when they do get their carries Fuller and or Choice have already put a beating on the defense. All these guys are good but in my personal opinion Feaster and ETN have a lot higher ceiling of talent.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agree with that

Sep 18, 2017, 11:42 AM

Feaster and Etienne have a very high ceiling. Fuller and Choice don't appear to be as fast / athletic, but they're sturdy and reliable. They're our pickup trucks to Feaster / Etienne' sports cars.

I think the combinations created by all the backs works in everybody's favor. To me. Fuller & Choice do the "bust you in the mouth" dirty work and that benefits Feaster & Etiene because you have to play a pure power runner differently. Having to constantly adjust a defense to a power attack, then a speed and agility attack and back to power etc, etc, etc.....it keeps the defense off balance, creates the slightest bit of hesitation and the second they hesitate, we got'em. The other obvious benefit is running 4 backs keeps everybody fresh. Nobody (and I mean nobody) is going to enjoy dealing with our RB's in the 4th qtr.
Side note: I thought Feaster hit line hard all night, it was different from what I've seen from him, better.

Good write up. I like the think of Fuller / Choice as the teams Silverado / F-150 and Etienne / Feaster as the Corvette / Mustang.
