It’s rare that you see a team get beat up front

Jan 8, 2019, 9:40 AM

like we did last night and still win in blowout fashion.

They ran the ball for like 13 yards a clip in the first half and we couldn’t get the run game going at all. Big part of their success was the absence of Dex.

Don’t get mad at me, Dabo even said it in the post game interview.

Last night was a classic case

Jan 8, 2019, 9:43 AM

of a defense bending but not breaking.

A defense that made the big plays at the key times and dominated the downs that mattered most.

It was an EXCELLENT game plan by BV against a horrible game plan by Bama. When you have to go for it 6 times on 4th down then you've made some bad decisions to put yourself in that position.

Re: Last night was a classic case

I would love to see a defensive statistic of points per possession inside the 10, inside the redzone and/or inside the 30 for defensive coordinators. The have the same stat for turnovers on downs in those zones.

I mean, how often is VB going to make living off of those stops... year after year after year?

So you want Dabo fired?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No just want you to stop finding negative stuff to post,

Jan 8, 2019, 9:50 AM

admit you were wrong, and possibly just go back to FGF and be what you truly are.

He's not a gamecock fan, he's simply a troll

Jan 8, 2019, 9:53 AM

He just posts cause he thinks he's funny and somehow he enjoys getting people to take him seriously as he makes absurd statements. He's admitted as much in the past.

So my OP was absurd?

Dabo said it why can’t I?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You can say whatever you want

Jan 8, 2019, 10:12 AM

But when your track record is digging up anything and everything negative or controversial in order to get folks riled up, then don't be surprised to be called out as a troll.

I don't find anything wrong with the post in a vacuum, but as part of your continued trolling it has grown tiring.

Re: You can say whatever you want

Jan 8, 2019, 10:58 AM

The sad thing is that the vast majority of the things I post are true, but yet they cause such a stir.

I take being called troll as a compliment on a board like this one where the majority of the regular posters are so homeristic.

You might want to take a look at the line score.

https://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/clemson-tigers-alabama-crimson-tide-201901070073/

Clemson 31 rushes 135 yards
Bama 37 rushes 148 yards

Bama got zero pressure on TL, hit him maybe two or three times, no sacks and no turnovers. I'd say we handled the LOS pretty well. But whatever makes you feel better.

Re: Yes it was.

Jan 8, 2019, 10:50 AM

Our offensive line did well protecting the QB. They were disruptive in the run game though especially #92.

Alabama was playing catch-up in the second half so it’s not surprising that they abandoned the run.

Weird game. We couldn’t run. Couldn’t stop the run,

Jan 8, 2019, 9:48 AM

yet dominated because of TL16, Ross, etc. on third down.

Re: Weird game. We couldn’t run. Couldn’t stop the run,

Jan 8, 2019, 10:00 AM

It really was. I told my wife early in the game not to get her hopes up because we would not be able to stop them the way they were running it.

Our coaches knew we had a huge advantage on the outside with Ross and Tee Higgins and we exploited it beautifully. A lot of it had to do with Trevor’s ability to step up in the pocket and make the throws. I don’t remember him scrambling more than a couple times.

most determined, if not also delusional, trolls we've ever had. You're worst nightmare came true last night and you're still up this morning clucking like a banty rooster.

But let me give you a news flash. They're ain't NUTHIN' you cas say this morning that won't get anything from a Clemson fan but some major SMDH in derision.

In fact, you might as well just wait a few months before you even try to grab this Tiger by the tail.

Re: It’s rare that you see a team get beat up front

Jan 8, 2019, 10:03 AM

Dabo was being nice.

Venables knew the only way Bama could put up points was through the air. Sure they could move the ball with the run when our gameplan was to shut down the pass but he knew that wouldn't get them TDs consistently.

If Clemson loaded up to stop the run Bama would have scored more points and had 100 yards rushing as a team.

We didn't get whipped up front. We made a choice.

Re: It’s rare that you see a team get beat up front

Jan 8, 2019, 10:07 AM

Hey genius .... have you ever heard of making a team one dimensional? To keep the receivers in check we had to give up something. We put pressure on Tua and we were able to keep a clean pocket on offense, so how is that being dominated at the lime of scrimmage? Yes six or seven guys blocking four and produce running lanes ..... so what!

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: It’s rare that you see a team get beat up front

Jan 8, 2019, 10:09 AM

Yeah we got beat up front. That’s why we straight up blasted tua and their D-Line couldn’t touch TL.

Our OL showed out for sure.

Jan 8, 2019, 10:15 AM

when the rival team won the natty by 4 TD's the night before.
Especially when the troll's team not only lost to said rival for the 5th time in a row, but also lost their final game by 4 TD's and got shutout.
Some might even say it takes a special kind of stupid.

It's rare that a true Tiger fan would come up with a negative comment after manhandling the tide. You are such a troll. Go home coot.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That was the case for the first quarter....

Jan 8, 2019, 10:38 AM

But in case you didn’t notice....they scored 3 whopping points after the first frame.
We clearly gave them the run and were not going to let Tua beat us. But our D owned them in the red zone apart from one drive.
And our OL owned the whole game.
Much to your chagrin.
We don’t fold like your sec teams to Bama.
