recently married and her saying "He's so cute when he does that" . . . will turn, fairly quickly, into disgust and possibly utter disdain for the entire season know as "football".

Since it is a long Labor Day Weekend and 12:01 AM is technically August 31 and a Friday night/Saturday morning - I'll go with around 12:01 AM.

It's how many have you had by kickoff. If you are seeing double vision by then, you may have a problem.
For me, I plan on grilling, enjoying the day with my soon to be baby girl (it will be her first Clemson game and daddy - me - bought her a cute Tiger outfit to wear). During that time, I'm planning on drinking a few cold ones and have a little buzz going by kickoff, but I don't want to be hammered.

FrancisMarionTiger is right. This is a long day on a long weekend and the game could go well into the night. I am not saying that you shouldn't start at 7:15 or 12:01 or anytime in particular, but this is about buzz management. You do not want to be passed out for any portion of the game. Rather, you need to be raising your glass high as the last seconds tick of the clock of the first of many 2013 Tiger victories.

My husband and I usually get to our spot by 6:30am and usually have our first alcoholic drink around 7:15 after we've had time to get everything out & set up! I should clarify that this is if our young children are to with us, which they will most definitely not be for the Georgia game!

lol - I have to be careful with that. About 10 years ago, I anticipated the first game so much, that I drank too much before the opening kickoff. I passed out and woke up in the 3rd quarter. And then spent most of the 4th quarter throwing up.

years, of a couple of stiff JD's on the rocks before supper. On game days...it's every man for himself, as my Doctor prescribed several of my concoctions on gamedays to "settle the nerves." That's why I pray to the Almighty that our games are settled by halftime....lol
