more power to you, but you probably have the type of brain that can uncannily handle the excessive ammount of studying during finals week.

Probably 80% of the kids nowadays are diagnosed with ADD and given these things like Candy... they are a mild stimulant .... other students use them to keep them up for studying .... again, its a mild stimulant .... it was foolish to be caught with these, but I hope he gets reprimanded and NOT thrown to the wolves

A mild stimulant... Glad to see you know your drugs so well.

Those two drugs are Schedule II drugs.

You want a list of some other CII drugs?

Cocaine, Oxycodone, Morphine, Hydromorphone, Dextromethamphetamine, Methylphenidate, Amphetamines, Lisdexamfetamine, and more.

Yep...it is a mild stimulant just like caffeine.

Hahhahahhahahahahah what a joke.

I cannot believe anyone would use the current drug laws as a way to prove how bad a drug is. Marijuana is probably the least harmful "drug" out there yet it is illegal. It cures cancer. And cigarettes and alcohol are both legal while they kill millions of people.

It proves how addicting it is.

Marijuana doesn't cure cancer. It helps with N&V along with other things. They have Marinol which is legal and same compound as marijuana.

There are medical uses for marinol.

N&V and appetite/weight loss

Cure cancer...news to me.

Glad to see we are getting medical research from solid websites like marijuana.com.

I mean real research like a study with a controlled group.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?term=Marijuana%20shrinks%20tumors

I got nothing from PubMed.

I linked my google scholar search above.

Posted: May 4, 2012 1:27 PM

I don't see any marijuana.com results on there.

It has been shown to slow growth and even shrink some

Also the scheduling of drugs is often ridiculous considered Marijuana is schedule 1 with drugs like heroin and means it's considered to have no medical use and be highly addictive/abused, but I do thinks adderall being schedule 2 is about right even though I personally think it should be schedule 3. FYI schedule 2 means some medical uses but highly addictive/high potential for abuse. Schedule 3 is medical uses and less potential for abuse.

I agree with your comments about adderall***

It would be very nice if this hold out to be true. Cancer treat is very difficult due to the growth rate of the cells and toxic nature of the drugs used to fight the disease.

Literally almost every student? Have you taken a poll?

The strongest drug I ever took was Vivarin with a coffee chaser. Maybe college students these days should party a little less and study a little harder. If I ever caught my kids taking unprescribed drugs like that I would kick their tails from h#ll to breakfast.

if so, then your comment shows that there are a whole of host of idiots running around colleges these days.

I would be interested to know how these multitude of students are getting prescription drugs so easily? Is it really so easy?

Strange.

So many kids are diagnosed with A.D.D. (that is a topic in itself) that the pills are everywhere ... they then pass/sell the pills onto other students BECAUSE, the pills ARE a mild stimulant and student use them to "cram"
