It just struck me that 9 of the 32 starting QB's in the NFL

are from the ACC. I'm not a conference homer but that strikes me as odd for a conference perceived as "weak".

Houston - Watson - Clemson
Indy - Brissett - NCSU
NY Giants - Jones - Duke
Tampa - Winston - FSU
Atlanta - Ryan - BC
LA Chargers - Rivers - NCSU
Seattle - Wilson - NCSU
Baltimore - Jackson - Louisville
Chicago - Trubisky - UNC

And for NCSU to have THREE in the NFL and haven't won SQUAT, well...

ACC has a great track record of developing pro QBs

Sep 22, 2019, 6:49 PM

I think it’s why our defense is always so good in the CFP.

We play a variety of offenses and QBs every year.

Great find! Would be interesting to know where the majority of the remainder come from.

Don't know if Wilson counts ACC or Big10. But last year I

weren't Glennon and Jackson (VaTech) also starters?

SEC teams are all about speed vs intellegence. That’s all I’ve got.

Bridgewater went to UL. He was drafted

Sep 22, 2019, 7:52 PM

In 2014. UL started ACC play that fall. So while he didn’t play in the ACC, he played for an ACC school.

Would assume the SEC dominates in DBs,

If you’re going to count Brissett for NCSU then you probably can’t count Wilson for NCSU. Wilson started at NCSU then went to a Wisconsin. Brissett started at Florida (muscrap), then went to NCSU.

Either way, nice stat. It definitely proves the ACC certainly holds their own for QB play.
