Is this what lost the election for Trump?

Nov 21, 2020, 8:36 AM

I seem to recall several posters here abandoning any reluctant support after this incident. I can’t imagine that trend would be isolated to this site.

In a close election, you can point to any number of issues as potentially game changing, however this one seems to stand out.

Why did he bring the Bible with him again? Even if were religious, why was he bringing it with him? Was he planning on reading it?

No sir.

According to the exit polls, Christians still overwhelmingly supported Trump in the election. I think the election was well decided by the time that farce happened.

The moderates and the independents decided this election. They had enough. You can see a major shift in their support from Trump compared to 2016.

That seems statistically significant.

states or counties would confirm or debunk. But 6% of a large demographic could do it. It's a fun question.

But was it christians who changed? When one demographic swings, it takes other demographic factors with it. The largest demographic swing from Obama to Trump was women, and many of those are christian, yet the narrative was that it was christians who elected Trump, and for racial reasons. Right. But if one accepts that view, then yes, the swing in christians elected Biden. Those are of course ideologically motivated rather than factually motivated statements, but welcome to 2020. And FSU.

But maybe that christian swing was demographic, and maybe it did swing the election. It doesn't sound right, but it could be. Fun question.

In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

might have a leader who tells the truth once in a while. And actually is a Christian, not someone who pretends to be just to get votes.

So if you prefer truth, why would you ever vote Trump?
