I don’t know what happened but it’s got to be a simple misunderstanding or something. No reason unless he’s sick or something. I’ve been knowing the Blackmans my whole life and I would appreciate holding any jokes or judgement until you know the truth. He’s a Clemson man through and through. Worked his butt off 30+ years 50-60 hrs a week for this athletic department. Thank you in advance.

I don’t know him and I’ve only heard him on the radio, but I’ll definitely reserve judgement until more facts come out. Very strange. I’m wondering why they’re not commenting on what was stolen. I’ve enjoyed his WCCP segments.

Really strange. Petit larceny is less than $2k. Wonder if he took home his laptop or something.
If the Ath Dept is holding his feet to the fire wanting a laptop back, or other equipment he may have used on a daily basis, then that's some petty crap.

He was a kind and fun guy. I’m sure this will be resolved quickly. If there is any substance to the story, it says petit larceny, he should be allowed to go on with his well earned and deserved retirement and this put aside.

Agreed. Fully support Sammy. He is the very last person I would ever suspect of harming a school he loves so dearly.

Had many classes with him. Lost touch after college. Always thought he might take Bourret’s job but he retired at the same time. Thought that was odd.

I don't know if any of you have read about the former Columbia police chief that was arrested for. It should have never gotten to that point. Seems appropriate here that if this was petit larceny that someone should have told him to return the item(s) prior to involving authorities. Seems like it should have never gotten to this. I hate to say this, and I love Clemson dearly, but if you want to see how much they love you, quit giving them money!
