SEC has no plans for expansion - for now

The Southeastern Conference is staying just as it is - for now.
University of Florida president Bernie Machen, the chairman of the league’s presidents and chancellors committee, said the group met yesterday and “reaffirmed our satisfaction with the present 12-institutional alignment.’’
Machen said no action was taken regarding Texas A&M or any other schools. He did not, however, close the door on growth down the road.

expansion, and assuming we'll be involved, what's the "inside word" on when it will become known.
I am on the fence, to be honest. Both on whether it will happen and whether it should happen. I don't like the distance. I am from SC. Met lots of students from the "ACC Footprint" who were at Clemson. Married one of them from the Mid-Atlantic who, aside from the conference affiliation, probably wouldn't have know where Clemson was.
I guess that's not a position that matters in this debate, but I am a "stick with the devil you know" kind of guy. Either way, I'd like to know when we're going to know.
What's the ballpark timeline?

New Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby takes office on June 15.
NCAA decides on playoff structure about a week later.
Our BOT and FSUs BOT will meet again around that time.
Look for things to begin popping after that.
