Is there a significantly cheaper alternative to Verizon?

Aug 21, 2019, 9:42 AM

For 2 phones, (1 is paid for) our bill is $210. Any luck with any other companies with good service in upstate of SC?

Feel like I'm getting raped. Been with Verizon for over 15

I just haven't caved to unlimited

"We" get by on 1 GB per person.

We have 6 lines, 6 GB, Verizon, Company Discount = $192/MO

Comes out to $32/person. 4 of us bought android phones for $100-200 which seem to last 1.5 yr on avg.

for unlimited for mine, wife, and grandmother it's 220 a month.

At Verizon it was the same amount for 2 lines with 16 GB

I’m paying $100 for one phone and zero phone payment - Verizon

Aug 21, 2019, 9:55 AM

Will most likely be going the straight talk route this week. Oh, I refuse to pay 1k plus for a cell phone that lasts 2 years

Verizon lowered their prices last week. They will lower the price if you call them and ask. A friend did this yesterday.

I've been with Sprint for 2 years and coverage is terrible. Price is OK but you get what you pay for.
Actually switching to Verizon today. Know I will have to pay more but I would rather have good service and pay more than deal with #### buffering all the time.

$250/month

Wife's phone is almost done being paid for through their stupid plan though. Now she is complaining that it isn't working as well. Cell phones are stupid expensive through Verizon.

satellite phones

But Verizon works where I live and go so I am sticking with it

I don't pay that outrageous cost though, seems like you are getting ripped off even for Verizon

Had to stay with Verizon for coverage. Called them couple months ago and got bill down to about 58.00 for 5 gb data / mo. Think I had to let them draft credit card for best price.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

? I don;t understand.

Aug 21, 2019, 4:04 PM

I get 15GB/month an unlimited everything else for $50.20 with no contract. Paid for phone is key. Its an old Iphone 7...but still works.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I've got 3, one is paid for and it's $237

Aug 21, 2019, 4:36 PM

ROH

Sure.

Make sure the battery on the phone is at 100% and the phone is turned on. Drop it in the toilet and tell everyone that if they have an emergency dial 911 because you don't put out fires, you're not a doctor or ER and you can't stop anyone from stealing their purse cause you don't carry a gun.

You and they will get used to it.
