Is the Carrier Dome air-conditioned?

Posted: Oct 3, 2013 2:36 PM

Also, I understand it is REALLY loud in there. And, that ABSOLUTELY nothing compares to the noise. I hear people come out with ears bleeding and can't hear for years to come. Is that true?

Plus, their QB; he's All-Ultraverse, right?

Make your own decision, not my words, just links

One the links you provided listed the following;
"You can't go more than about three minutes without somebody in your row getting up to go get food, beer, or to the bathroom. The fans are knowledgeable, but as mentioned above, you won't find many people getting the crowd going. Those who do are usually ignored. The student section is rarely full, but the students who do show are usually very rowdy".

"The crowd inside the Carrier Dome tends to be small, leaves early, and does not always get into the game. When a rival or a ranked foe enters the Dome, the crowd will get into a game, but at the first sign of trouble, the fans seem to get real quiet, real quick. Things are improving as the team improves as attendance is up in 2010 and frequently surpassing the 40,000 mark for each conference game. The Carrier Dome can become deafly loud at times when all 40,000 people get on their feet. It is called the Loud House for a reason"

This sounds eerily like SC fans at The Cockroach .... I'm sorry, that was mean. You're new to ACC - I meant no disrepsect by comparing your fans to SC's

None taken. Our casual fan base sucks. I'm the first to admit it. I've openly given crap to fans for leaving early. "Where ya going? Movies?" The worst part is they leave when we are up big too. Gotta beat that 'Syracuse' traffic, it's a joke. Like the article said, when it's full and the crowd is into it, it's tough on the opponent, just see the WV clip I included. That was a 45k+ crowd, which is what we expect this Sat. We will be loud early. If all y'all *snicker* take over early the Dome will be nothing more than a sweaty mess. If we stay in this one, we really do have a 12th man. Problem is more time than not that 12th man is in the parking lot midway through the 2nd half.

As to their QB, #1 QBR among non-qualified due to games.

Of course, that was against Wagner and Tulane. Jury is still out.
