Is it just me, or is College basketball, in general, a lot

uglier and harder to watch than years gone by? Even the elite teams. It's been gradual, but it just looks a lot different than it did 15, 20, 30 years ago. I doubt that the stats relect it, but the style of play just seems to be a lot more herky-jerky, a lot more bad shots, poor execution, etc.. A lot less flow and efficiency on offense.

But it seems like even good teams struggle to get good looks in half court sets

It seems players these days have no idea how off-the-ball motion results in open shots. It’s all standing around waiting to get the ball, and then trying to dribble your way open.

it is. I think guys staying fewer years before going pro and the frequent transfers have produced this

One and dones changed college basketball for the worst. It was crazy how some of those old Duke teams stayed together for so long. It felt like Laetner and Hurley were there 7 years.

superior basketball skills the majority of the time. Teams are way more athletic these days, and probably better defensively because of that, but shooting and offensive efficiency are certainly a lot worse than even 15-20 years ago.

IMO, if they got rid of the 3 point shot the game would be infinitely better. Tonight 34 of our 56 shots were 3’s. These guys (all college teams) don’t want 2’s.

I wish these kids understood you get more points off one 2 that you make than half a dozen missed 3's.

It has become sling it around the perimeter a few times and jack up a 3. As soon as it leaves the shooter’s hand run the other way. Not very strategic inmho.
