I do remember a Georgia Southern team that beat a Florida Gators team coach by Will MenstralCramp and didn't even have to throw a forward pass to achieve victory

The Eagle did throw the ball a few times the problem was that none of the receivers could catch the ball.

Yes and we were FCS at the time with 63 Scholarships. Yes the U.Florida was weak that year but they were still an FBS SEC school facing a 63 scholarship FCS school. We ran all over them.

I'm sure the playoff committee isn't as ignorant as that. Fear not, if GSU goes 12-0 and gets a bowl they will look at that. So see, There is a reason to pull for GSU after we beat you.

horrible last year. They finished the season 2-10. They played two P5 opponents, Auburn and Indiana, and they lost those two games a combined score of 94-23. They even lost by double digits to both New Hampshire and Coastal Carolina.
I think when we scheduled this game, we expected GA Southern to be a bit more challenging.

GSU??? So that's the other team, besides Georgia Tech, that has also won a National Championship since Georgia last won one. They actually have 6 since UGA won theirs.
But yes, the concern is real!
