That a Clemson basketball team has finished the season with a win in a post season tournament?

Clemson won the 1939 Southern Conference basketball tournament. Jess Neely, the AD and football coach, refused to let the team go to the NCAA tourney because many of the players also played football and would have missed spring practice. I think that included Banks McFadden. This is supposedly the event that cursed Clemson basketball.
