My grand father graduated from Clemson, my father attendee but had to drop out, I graduated in 1987 civil engineer. I was a pika. My son just graduated in bio engineering.
My father in law has a building named after him. Both my in laws are buried in old stone church.
My family gets ten season tickets no two parking passes.
We took William perry to Clemson every game during his senior year at Aiken.
I lost point because of opposition to Kevin Steele.

I lived with the Tiger for year; was sitting there when woody Hayes came off the bench and spent 1981 New Years in Miami.

To the best of my memory, when Mick Mixon was the host of WIS sports talk show in the late 1970's - early 1980's in Columbia, a listener called in to make a comment about Phil Kornblut (Lamar, SC) going to Clemson his freshman (or part of) freshman year. Mixon confirmed that Phil had indeed gone to Clemson and then transferred to Cootlumbia during/after his freshman year. This has been a long time ago folks, so, a few months ago I tried to confirm that Kornblut attended Clemson with a friend who worked in Clemson Athletic Department for many years. He said as he remembers, he believed this was true. My buddy referred me to Tim Bourret. I haven't follow up with Bourret yet.

Phil is from Latta. Levon Kirkland and BJ Goodson are from Lamar(oh and Tommy Suggs)
During the Danny Ford era Phil was working to attract an audience and did a pretty good job of being impartial. I really think he enjoyed seeing good football. When Spurrier came to town his team was finally winning and he showed his true colors.

As I remember the conversation on Mixon's show was that Danny Ford was upset with something Phil had said about Clemson's recruiting on the radio. And a statement was made that was attributed to Clemson's Athletic Department, "What is Phil trying to do? Get us in trouble with the NCAA?" And a listener called in to ask, "Didn't Phil go to Clemson?" The answer was yes. His freshman year. Then he transferred to Columbia."
