Is Dabo the highest paid state employee in the country?

Oct 29, 2019, 2:06 PM

He’s the highest paid football coach, and Mike K is the MBBs highest at 8.9 mil:

Coach K isn't a state employee but maybe that's not what

I was including him to say Dabo has a higher salary than even MBBs top, therefore he would be better paid than the actual top public emp.

I think this is why Nick the Saban seems extra crabby lately.

I believe most of Dabo's pay comes from athletic funds and maybe from other sources and not entirely from state funds.

Correct. His state salary is "only" $245k.

Also interesting is that Muschamp's state salary is $1.1 mil.
This link allows you to lookup any state employee that makes over 50k.

He’s not even the highest paid in the state...

If Muschamp's state salary is $1 million then that means we as tax payers are paying him $83,333 per game based on a 12 game schedule. No bowl game this year so no reason to use 13 games.

Dabo's state salary is $245K which means the tax payers pay him $20,416 per game, but since we base our season on 15 games we tax payers actually pay Dabo $16,333 per game.

Since Muschamp is only going to win 3 games this year that means the tax payers paid him $333,333 per win while paying Dabo $16,333 per win. Dabo definitely provides the tax payers more bang for the buck.

The coots claim to be smart but the figures do not lie.

As a SC taxpayer I would like a refund on Muschamp's salary. The least he can do is win enough to not hurt our strength of schedule and not embarrass the entire state.
