Interesting story on Darius Leonard, potential NFL Def ROY...

They were discussing Darius Leonard, Colts rookie linebacker, on Mike Golic Show this morning and, not knowing anything about him, I googled his name. I was surprised to see that he went to SC State.

I said to myself, “How could this guy from SC dominating the NFL not have gotten a sniff at Clemson”. Turns out, not only were we on him during the recruiting process but he was a legacy, being Anthony Waters brother.

The reasons we had to back off was he was a late qualifier academically and was very slight for a LB in HS.

Who knows, maybe the snub gave him the motivation to work hard and become so good.

Tell you one thing - if there’s room for these other legacies there should always be room for someone with bloodlines like that. Waters was a bad #### between the lines.

He didn't qualify academically until 2 weeks After national signing day so I don't think Clemson "whiffed" on him. But I'm so happy for him that he's doing so well and bet Dabo is too!
