Information concerning the Woo-Hoo

I have bad news for all of the haters myself included, of the "Woo-Hoo" that the students belt out before C-L-E-M-S-O-N. After 8 years of service in the Marine Corps and a 2 year degree form Harvard on the Hill, I was able to transfer to Clemson. I was forced to attend new student orientation, long story short, I was one of about 400 new students in Tillman. Once the show got started, the "head student leader" got everyone on their feet and played Tiger Rag ..........I was shocked to to hear her tell us that the Woo-Hoo is a New Clemson Tradition. Looks like we are fighting a up hill battle. Don't worry I informed the people around me that it was a joke and not to do it during a game.

I was watching a game from 2000 on tigerray's YouTube channel and the woohoo is loud and clear there. that was 12 years ago... that's at least three full classes of clemson students who have come in, learned the woohoo and passed it on.
Plus you have to consider the clemson fans who don't read message boards and don't even know how much some people hate the woohoo.

around me doing. I just yell real loud. Not at them or in their direction... just yell... really loud. Usually, after about the 3rd time, most get it and it doesnt happen very much the rest of the game.
