In the ER in Blacksburg right now...

With my wife. We're local and she's had a lot of stomach issues lately.
Anyway, the ER has 4 male students that have terrible gashes on their forehead. All 4 are super drunk and have fallen on their heads. Obviously, a fun Gameday experience for them.
Our daughter is relieving me at 4pm so my 11 year old grandson can go to the game with me.
The Tigers won't play in Blacksburg again until 2031. My wife won't let me miss this one.

Screw that.
As long as she's OK he should go enjoy the game! Why sit in a hospital room with a small TV while his wife farts out her stomach problems when he could be in Lane Stadium?
Obviously kidding VATiger. Hope the Mrs is doing alright and it's nothing serious.

On the one hand I agree with you. On the other hand, a years ago my wife and I went up to the BC game and she wasn't feeling well. I wasn't going to go to the game and we were going to watch from the hotel. She faked that she was okay, rode the train all the way out to the stadium, walked inside with her ticket...and then told me she was going to catch a cab back to the hotel and that I better stay for the game.
Moral of the story, if she insists you go to the game it's because she'll feel guilty if you miss because of her. Don't make her feel worse if she really wants you to go.

I know if i was in the hospital I wouldn't take no for an answer if I told someone to go to the game, but that's a tough one from the other side of it.

Also a competing hospital South of I-85 in Christiansburg called Carillion New River Valley. I've worked at both before.

I can remember in Miami years ago at the WV debacle, my wife got food poisoning from something she ate during the all day tailgate. I left her asleep in the car cause she said "I'll be there In a few". Halfway through the 1st quarter, we are ahead 14-7, and no sign of the wife. I left the game, took her back to the hotel and watched the LONGEST game of my life in the hotel room. So, in essence, I take the blame for that loss since I took my wife home and they were ahead when I left the game.

I was there with my son (Clemson '00) and can tell you the drive back to Charleston was the longest I can remember! Silver lining: we got rid of Steele and got Brent. And we are what - 63-9 since that game?
