Chase Young

will not get a play off against the Tigers like he did against B1G O Lines. When O31-0 moves him around, he's going to face a top O linemen, be chipped by a TE, be double teamed and have to battle every play. It will be like nothing he has ever seen before.
If any of you 7-11 Warriors don't believe it, just go back and watch what the Tigers did to the all world Bama D Lineman Quinnen William's. The Tigers O Line literally beat the snot out of him. Young will make a few plays because he is that good but dominate - don't think so.

You got that right. Goose eggs for Young against Big Blue. 2 QB hurries and that was his stats. I hope the Tigers were able to get a copy of the film.

Might’ve been true in that game but it’s been proven in the past if you “leave Chase a-loan” he’ll take advantage of it.

Quinnen and defense in the same sentence against Clemson? Isn't that kind of a stretch?

There are ways to neutralize elite DL, that means the other DL will have plenty of opportunities. They have got to make the most of those opportunities. My hope is that Dabo is arrogant enough to believe his OL can take Young 1-1 and Chase is able to reek havoc before Dabo makes adjustments.
This is my hope, I’m not saying this is how it is going to play out. You don’t become Dabo and Clemson by overlooking opponents and leaving things to chance so that means Tyreke Smith, Zach Harrison, DaVon Hamilton, Robert Landers, Jashon Cornell, etc are going to have to step their games up.

I appreciate your post.
if you are hoping on Dabo being arrogant as an advantage I suspect you'll be disappointed. I say this not to be insulting to you but because I just dont see our coaches being cocky or complacent. is tiger fans with both age and memory recall coaches from the not too distant past who did not have the team ready for post season play - I dont think I've seen this from Dabo.
my biggest fear is that the players will rest on the confidence I've seen here and fail to buy in to the reality of the challenge your team will present.

Winning back to back national championships, especially in a playoff era, is #### near impossible. I think Clemson will drop one of these next two, I just hope it’s Ohio State.

Should Clemson beat Ohio St this year ... then

Win 3 out of 4 national championships, and return more starters and younger players than Ohio St in 2020, will most Ohio fans and media be as dismissive of Trevor Lawrence and Clemson next year as they are this year?

I’m not sure what media and Ohio State fans you’re talking to but 9/10 in the media are picking Clemson and 95% of Ohio State fans believes the game will be close.
What exactly is your point?

I believe our program is on that level right now. Should be a fun game. I’m pumped.

Alabama has not repeated in the playoff era. I do agree that Clemson is not only on Alabama’s level, but has surpassed it altogether.

The main point is that the Tigers never let up on Young. Engage him physically every play until he loses strength throughout the game and has to take downs off.
I have to admit, I don't know anything about his backup but I'll have to believe his backup is very good but not like Young.

Essentially, you're correct. TTUN and Wiscy both chipped and double/triple teamed him relentlessly. That was also OSU's third huge game in a row - PSU, TTUN, Wiscy. While the schedule favored OSU through the first 9 games, the B1G did no favors scheduling PSU and TTUN back-to-back with the Championship looming right after.
Alas, I expect Chase to be refreshed and the scheming to be better against Clemson. Still a tall task but the rest of the Dline is talented so I wouldn't just assume chipping or double-teaming him will solve all your pass blocking issues.
The other edge rushers are Tyreke Smith (4*, likely #2 on the depth chart), Tyler Friday, and Zach Harrison (freak athlete, 5*, true freshman who has gotten a lot of PT). Like you said, clearly will be a drop off, but the interior of the dline (specifically Davon Hamilton) and the edge rushers can more than hold their own.
