Smith knows more about "Clemson family" than most recruits

Cannon Smith, a 2014 tight end commit out of Columbia, knows more about the Clemson family than most recruits, and he tells TigerNet those reasons. Who was his player host this past weekend? What does he say about his dad? Full Story »

Sean Mac Lain is Eric's younger brother and is a walk-on tight end.

In Pain

They seriously need to get this dude a new pic. Great gun show, but that look on his face just looks like he is in pain or something. Looks like a decently sized TE, hopefully a good blocker and set of hands.

He is probably going to move to tackle. His frame will support a lot more weight. With his athleticism this kid would be a phenomenal lineman.

OT

He's listed as an OT by a couple services. And the coaches have talked about trying to maximize that 6'5" frame into a lineman. I just want him to play where he is best.

This guy have great hands for a big TE. He's bigger and has a better 40 time than J. Leggett coming out of high school. Can you imagine if Smith cut a tenth of second off his 40 time. He would be load to bring down at 6'5 235pd and running a 4.5(40). That would be running back speed in a Lineman frame. This kid would be steam rolling the smaller Dbs and 6 footers probably would have to hold on for some assistant with the tackle.
