Phenomenal talent but while he was in college he lacked the on field maturity and leadership of Deshaun Watson. Undoubtedly he would’ve transferred before he got a chance to take the reigns. Not a good fit.

I've read where Lamar Jackson is a pretty good kid.
But some tutor would have had their hands full getting him academically eligible at Clemson.

stuck around. He would've red shirted in 2015 and sat behind Watson in 2016 knowing it was his team from there on out. I believe his results would be about the same and we'd be in the same spot as of today. More than likely he would've set college football on fire in 2017 and gone pro.
He wasn't a system guy, he's just a player. Its possible he may have switched positions but I doubt it.

I think Lamar could have been great at Clemson. I think it's kind of silly to knock his leadership and such. Who was setting examples for him at Louisville? Bobby freaking Petrino? Yall don't think our staff couldn't have had a more positive impact on him?
That said, it's tough to ask all of these talented QBs to sit and wait. If Lamar was awesome at CU in 2017 maybe we never get TL.

Clemson offered Lavar Jackson and he chose to accept an offer from Lewisville instead, at QB. Clemson offered him at DB.

I would have been happy landing some of those recruits that we missed on (Kimdiche(ole miss), Montravius Adams/Carl Lawson(AU), Gurley/Marshall(UGA), and Gary(Michigan)) just to name a few.
