Seems so far we haven't heard much to inspire about defense***

same story every year, defense dominated goal line

Keep in mind, our offense is about as bad as it gets in short yardage situations. If that's their only selling point, they have a ways to go. It would be nice to be able to pick up that yard on 4th down on offense too with means other than breaking Tajh's body.

Did you miss last season? Clemson led the nation in Red Zone offense and TB was rarely stopped on short yardage.

I'm not talking red zone, I'm talking 4th and 1

Tajh was a big help, but you're right, I might be stuck on memories of two years ago...I'm sure the defense wasn't stopping Tajh this morning.

Pretty sure I remember hearing we were #1 in 4th down conversions last year.

Short yardage has tremendously improved.

From what I can see, we were #1 in 4th down conversions with 77%. I just quickly scanned the column and didn't see anyone else but I may have missed it.

Id say that is pretty dang good.

We drastically need to improve our secondary. Sounds like Sammy had a field day running past DB's. Ready to see what Alexander can bring to the field.***

If we had that many Dbs out then it's no suprising

Aug 10, 2013, 6:12 PM

Robinson, Peters, Jenkins and Alexander being out means you have a lot of first year DBs that aren't ready to handle Sammy, then again most experienced Dbs can't do that either.
