Another Christmas miracle

Dec 23, 2017, 2:15 PM

Let me begin this story by saying I don’t deer hunt so please don’t bash me. My brother in law, a huge Clemson fan, lost his sight 3 years ago in a work related accident. Since then he has learned Braille, how to navigate on a computer by using voice command, and how to basically function normally with little help. The one thing he really missed was deer hunting. A company donated a camera to use with a rifle and a buddy clues him in when the deer is locked in the sights. He’s been trying for a couple of months to bag one to no avail. Yesterday he accomplished that feat going into the Christmas weekend. I wanted to share this as a reminder to never give up, no matter what situation you’re facing. Have a blessed holiday season!

Why would someone bash you for being a deer hunter?

Well , I know how some folks feel about killing animals so I was really trying to emphasize the “will power” scenario. I love venison and I’m good with it

I go to church with him. It has been an amazing journey for him and his family. I was very excited to see him get his first buck.

I come here all of the time, but prefer to keep my opinions to myself. But when I saw this story, I knew who it was about before I finished the first sentence or looked at the pic. Thanks for sharing. I was showing everyone the pics and videos at work today.

If you loose your ability to do something you really love and figure out a way to persevere, don’t you think that is a huge accomplishment? He’s got a buddy with guiding him through it. Negative comments about this isn’t welcome. God bless you!

Did you not hear him say another person was with his brother and when the camera was aligned properly THE OTHER PERSON TOLD HIM TO PULL THE TRIGGER. I for one think this is fantastic. What would you rather him do sit on the corner with a cup?

For the life of me I cannot figure some of you out!!
